The sushi is always fresh and delicious ,also the service and staff are very quick and friendly
We've been here a few times. We've always done the hibachi table...it's fun, food is good, the hibachi chefs make it worth it... It's a little pricey, but the portions are good...we always leave with a take-home. We usually do not order cocktails... overpriced, unsatisfying (watered down), but we have found that these cocktails are decent... Never more than one, but the one has been spot on.
We typically on have sushi here. Our favorites are the King tuna roll. Fresh, with a more savory cut of tuna. Very filling roll Hot girl roll , fresh with just right amount of spicy tuna in center with salmon, tuna and white fish on top Best of the best roll. Large roll with tempura shrimp mixed with multiple fresh fish. Hearty roll and very well balanced. Only negative is something beyond their control really.. with it being 100 degrees outside and the habachi tables going , it is very warm inside. The lady's seem fine, but my large self gets a little on the hot side. Still worth the visit.
Their sushi and sashimi are ALWAYS great. Never had a bad experience with those. Their hibachi is great as well. Occasionally may get an end piece of chicken or steak, but most always great. Mixed drinks have left room for improvement, but I REGULARLY come back time and time again. It won't let me give partial stars so I will say it's 4.6 stars.
Love the hibachi grill! Good place for group and special occasions! But pricey but never been disappointed! Sometimes wait staff a bit confused on separate tickets etc!
Tonight, I went with friends to Mt. Fuji Japanese Steakhouse. Wonderful, as always. Mt Fuji has the best sushi place in Tupelo - the hibachi is good too. I've been coming here since they opened years ago. Jackie gets his fish in fresh three times a week - the tuna directly from Hawaii. Try it out. You won't be disappointed! They have an incredible selection of wines, beers, cocktails & saki. My personal favorite is Nigori cold sake. It is a wonderful milky nectar of a saki! The service is spot on, with Jackie at the helm of the sushi bar. The restaurant will surprise you when you walk in. On the outside, it looks simply like a strip mall. However, upon opening the door, you cross a bridge over a stream with Koi fish swimming. Inside is a vast room, divided into smaller rooms. My favorite seat is at the sushi bar, watching Jackie work his magic! 5 stars, Mt. Fuji & superb staff!
The Big Tuna Roll and Fried rice was great. The service was great and the atmosphere was fine too. I like the hibachi grill also. If your in Tupelo it's a must stop for lunch, dinner or takeout.
If I get to choose dinner for date night, 9 out of 10 times it's going to be Mt Fugi. I've never had a bad meal here! The sushi is insanely fresh and always delicious, the hibachi is well seasoned and cooked perfectly, and they have my second favorite fried rice of all time. The staff is generally pleasant and the bathroom is always decently clean. Just a head's up, they get busy! If you're trying to have a quick meal just let them know and they will recommend what can come out quickly and they'll take care of you.
